I’m a sucker for seeing information presented in cool new ways.
But you knew this.
Our friends at hoopism put something fantastic up , a visualization of every slam dunk contest. In honor of how awesome that is I decided to do a cool infographic myself (or at least what I think is cool, I am a little strange :-)).
That’s a day to day visualization of Wins Produced by team for the season as of 01/29/2011 (see here for explanations if you’re new). Wanna know how your team’s doing lately? Take a look.
Try not to stare too long.

How is it possible for a team to win by a considerable margin, but fail to produce more wins then the other team that day. GSW beat utah a few days ago by more than 10. How’d utah produce more wins? January 29.

EA,
GSW-Utah was on the 30th. Table only goes to the 29th. Last GSW game is a loss to Charlotte

The Lakers-Cavs game is quite a sight. What were the most lopsided WP wins over say, the last decade?

The Cavs in general are quite a sight. Their best game is 0.77. Absolutely horrible.

The Lakers had a game of 2.28 wins produced. They won two games in one night….

They played Cleveland. I actually ignore this game (and all Cav Games) for my rankings.
