If you’re interested in more you can also
Arturo and Alex have been kind enough to offer
- A First Glimpse of how team’s look going into the playoffs
- A full out breakdown of how the East will shake out.
We also chatted about series we wanted to see and of course Arturo’s written about that too!
We discussed regular season match ups and if that actually matters in the playoffs
Despite some hope for Miami we agreed Chicago is in a good spot to start recreating the Bulls era from the 90s. It is of course important to note that

I almost cried tonight.
Hopefully won’t have to tomorrow.

If you agree that D Rose is very overrated and would hate to see the bulls win, we’re on the same page. I’d maybe cry if that happened.

nah. I mean, he ain’t the MVP but he’s an amazing basketball player, honestly. And of all the contenders, Chicago is one I can handle winning should Lakers falter.
I was referring to Bynum’s knee last night.

So let me get this straight… the Bulls have beaten the Heat by a combined 8 pts in 3 games, but it’s a bad matchup for the Heat? C’mon, Arturo… You’re beginning to sound like a silly parody of Bill Simmons.

My favorite part of the whole podcast came from Dre. They were talking about how efficiency differential says that the Bulls have a 58% chance of being the Heat in the ECFs. So Dre then says they have a 2:1 chance of beating the Heat. But 58% is just as close to 50% as it is to 66%… By that logic, it’s practically a coin flip.

perhaps he figured in HCA into the differentials?

John,
I’ll hop in here just to point out the point of that was to say that even in the case of 2-1 favorites it would take 25 games to give the “proper” outcome an acceptable amount of the time. I’ll admit I didn’t do any more complex math. Good job keeping us honest though 🙂
Thanks for listening.

Wait, Arturo. You’ve heard rumors that Chris Paul is actually healthy? 🙂

EA,
Heh. I also know from experience that year and a half is about when the knee starts feeling right.
Before that, jumping and cutting is an adventure.

I really like the content of your podcasts, but it’s nearly impossible to listen to them. I don’t understand how people so smart have trouble syncing their mics to the same volume.

Rich,
I actually have the same complaint :-). We are working on improving the quality.
